Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchase Order (PO) Specialist to manage and maintain the integrity of our purchasing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for researching purchase orders, resolving PO exceptions, updating late or outstanding orders, managing part number corrections, and coordinating return merchandise authorizations (RMAs). This role plays a key part in ensuring procurement accuracy, vendor communication, and overall supply chain efficiency.

Qualifications:
• Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain support roles
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
• Excellent communication and vendor management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with PO exception handling and RMA processes
• Familiarity with part number management and SKU rationalization
• Knowledge of supply chain workflows and inventory control principles

This role plays a key part in ensuring procurement accuracy, vendor communication, and overall supply chain efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Research and Verification of Purchase Orders (POs):
- Investigate and validate PO details to ensure accuracy in quantities
- Handle PO Exceptions:
- Identify and resolve discrepancies between POs, invoices, and receipts, including incorrect item shipments, or system errors.
- Manage Late PO Updates:
- Track and follow up on overdue purchase orders with vendors and internal teams. Update systems with revised delivery dates and notes.
- Process Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs):
- Coordinate the return of defective or incorrect products, ensuring proper documentation and follow-through with vendors.
- Part Number Updates and Corrections:
- Maintain accurate item master records by updating part numbers, descriptions, and related information to ensure alignment between systems and vendor catalogs.
- Conduct PO Audits:
- Regularly audit purchase orders to ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies. Identify trends and recommend process improvements.

Compensation:
The pay range listed is the base pay range that Satellite Shelters, inc/Satellite Industries, Inc. reasonably expects to pay someone for this position (compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors, including but not limited to, a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, location and end client requirements).
