Position Summary: The Accounting Manager will be responsible for monitoring general accounting practices, internal accounting controls, the annual audit of our financial statements with an outside accounting firm, the annual tax returns with an outside accounting firm, and the reconciliation and monitoring of the entries for our monthly closings. This position plays an integral part of a strong financial team and reports directly to the VP Finance and Administration.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Position requires a high degree of concentration to manage frequent interruptions while meeting strict deadlines. This position is largely a sedentary role, requiring use of typical office equipment such as computers, printers, copiers, and scanners.

- Generate and post month end closing entries
- Supervise Accounting Function including Accounts Payable and Special Billings.
- Calculate and maintain monthly deferred revenue entries and reconciliations
- Prepare workpapers for the year end audit
- Supervise the preparation and reporting of sales and property tax returns
- Supervise sales tax and property tax audits
- Reconcile fixed asset additions and calculate monthly depreciation
- Prepare the information workbook that is used by our tax preparer to calculate apportionment by states
- Research regulations and apply for tax licenses
- Maintain rental fleet inventory at company branches and stock inventory at manufacturers sites
- Perform stock inventory, rental fleet additions, and branch transfers for all modular spaces and steps
- Participate with other Finance and Administration managers on the Procurement to Payment team
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or degree in Business with equivalent accounting experience
- Minimum 8+ years’ experience, with public accounting firm experience and a CPA license desired
- Strong knowledge of GAAP regarding leasing/rental promulgations and rental experience is preferred
- Experience improving and evolving back office processes and procedures required
- Database and or skills analyzing and manipulating large amounts of data required
- Experience with accounting software Microsoft Navision is desired
- Experience with sales tax software Avatax and rental software Avalara is desired
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite with Advanced Excel Skills necessary and Power BI and Jet reporting skills desired
- Construction experience a plus
